バーガー君は、ギョーザ男のお友達で、近所のハンバーガーショップのオーナー。

時々ギョーザ男とおしゃべりしに、ぱん吉軒に遊びに来ます。

パオくん、どうやらバーガー君が気になるようす。

バーガー君のお店でなら、パオくん、何か役に立てるかもしれない？

PANKICHI-KEN 33 : Delivery Box No. 2

ぱん吉軒は、出前もやってます。

シュウくんの足で徒歩7分、半径500ｍの近場のお客さんに限りますが。

オーナー兼店長、ぱん吉が、出前に自転車は不要というポリシーなのです。

ところで、出前持ちはシュウくん一人なのですが、出前用のオカモチは二つあります。

なぜ？

ただ単に、一つだけより、二つある方が良いから？

でも世の中、そう単純にはできていないようです。

Pankichi-Ken takes delivery orders for local customers situated within 500m radius, (i.e. 7 minutes walk by Shu-kun, as Pankichi-ken does not have a bicycle for delivery due to Pankichi's policy)

Though Shu-kun is the only delivery boy at the restaurant, they have 2 delivery box called No.1 and No.2.

Why?

Maybe because, simply, two is better than one?

But, things are not as simple as you wish...

パオ。

不思議な白くて丸い物体。

ギョーザの皮？春巻きの皮？

それとも、蒸し器に敷くために丸くきった紙？

いいえ。違います。

彼は、パオ。

最も高級な中華料理の一つ、北京ダックを包むためのパンケーキなのです。

つまり、北京ダックなしでは、ただのパンケーキ。

Pao. 

A mysterious white circular shape object.

He could be anything. A dumpling wrapper? Spring Roll Paper?

Or, just a piece of oven paper cut out to a circle shape?

No. He is none of these.

He is Pao, special pancake for one of the most expensive Chinese dish, which is Peking Duck!

In other words, he is "nobody" without a duck.

ぱん吉軒は、つつましい立ち食いギョーザ屋さんで、主な客層はご近所さんの住民です。 

なので、ピータンやフカヒレのような高級食材はメニューにないのです。

しかしながら、何故かぱん吉軒の倉庫には、そんあ高級食材がストックされています。

そんな高級食材の一つ、フカヒレさん。

彼は、ぱん吉軒の倉庫にある唯一のフカヒレです。

寂しがりの彼は、ある日、孤独に耐えられなくなり、、、

Pankichi-ken is a humble Chinese Restaurant specialised in Dumplings and their main target audience are local residents. 

So, expensive Chinese delicacies, such as Pidan or Shark Fin, are not really sold there. 

However, for unknown reason, Pankichi-ken does have such expensive ingredients in stock in their store. 

A Shark-Fin, one of such expensive ingredients, is the only Shark-Fin stored in the kitchen and he is sick and tired of the loneliness...

しばらくの間悩んでいた警官ホリ。

ついに、例のナゾめいたパンダとその中華料理店を、独自に調査し始めました。

ラッキーな事に、その中華料理店は、人々が毎日の食事に通うような、

お手ごろ価格のカジュアルなお店なので、

彼もお客さんの一人として、お店に通うようになったのです。

Having been wondering for some while, PC Hori finally started his own investigation to the mysterious "PANDA" and his Chinese restaurant. 

 Luckily, as the restaurant is a very casual and economical place where people can frequent for day-to-day meal, he just started to visit there as one of the customers...

PANKICHI-KEN 27 : PC Hori's Investigation

警官ホリは、この町に配属されて以来、

初めての見廻りで遭遇した、不思議な中華料理店について悩み続けています。

そして、そこで働いているらしいパンダについて。

先輩に相談してみましたが、結果は芳しくなく。

 でも、こんな風に、ただ悩み続けているわけにはいきません。

 何か他にできることはないか？

 ついに彼は、非番の日を使って、独自捜査を開始しました。

Since PC Hori has been stationed to this town, he has been wondering about the mysterious Chinese Restaurant he encountered during his first patrol in the town.

Also, he has been wondering about the Panda who seems to be working there.

 He asked his senior about this mystery, but it did help a lot.

 But, he cannot just keep wondering about it.

 What else can he do?

 Finally, he decided to start an investigation on his own, on his off duty day...

PANKICHI-KEN 25 : MD's Chair

ぱん吉軒は立ち食いのお店です。

その方が、回転率が高いのです。客単価は下がるけど。

でも、常連客の社長さんだけは例外。

いつもぱん吉軒で飲んだくれている社長さんは、

さすがに立ちっぱなしという訳にはいきません。

歳も歳やし。

 さすがのぱん吉も、彼だけは特別扱いしているようなのですが、

さて、それはどんな扱い？

 PANKICHII-KEN is a standing bar & restaurant,

which is good to achieve higher customer turnover rate,

but no good for sales per customer.

However,

Shacho-san (ala MD), who is one of the regular customers at Pankichi-ken, 

is an exception.

As he is always drunken and sleepy, he cannot keep standing while he is there.

Also, you should respect to an elderly person.

So, it seems Pankichi has agreed to make a special arrangement for him.

Since his first encounter with Pankichi, he cannot get rid of
Pankichi-ken from his mind.

Without knowing himself, he found himself in front of Pankichi-ken.

の上にのってる丸いものが、みんな気になってしょうがない。

 ある日みんなでさわってみたら、けっこうフツウ。

でも、シュウくんはそうは思っていないようです。

An apprentice Gyoza-Dumpling maker at Pankichi-Ken, Shu-kun

is always wearing a "Shumai Hat", which has something round on the top, 

which everybody at Pankichi-ken is so curious about.

One day, the colleagues at Pankichi-ken gathered and tried touching it,

and found it out to be quite mediocre...

However, it seems Shu-kun strongly believes otherwise...

PANKICHI-KEN 21 : Shu-kun's hat

ぱん吉軒の見習いギョーザ職人、シュウくん。

ギョーザ職人見習いであるにも関わらず、かぶっているのはシューマイ帽。

ある日、ギョーザ男にそれを指摘されて

あせったシュウくん、ギョーザ帽をかぶってみたりしたのですが

ぱん吉に不評だったため、シューマイ帽に逆戻り。

今回は、そんないわくつきのシューマイ帽のエピソードです。

Shu-kun is an apprentice Gyoza-Dumpling maker at Pankichi-Ken.

Even though his ambition is to become a Dumpling Chef like Gyoza-Otoko,

the hat he is always wearing is "Shumai Hat".

Once, his hat's resemblance to Shumai-Dumpling was mentioned by Gyoza-Otoko.

So agitated, Shu-kun made a "Gyoza Hat".

Unfortunately, however, the "Gyoza hat" was not well received by Pankichi, 

so he went back to his old "Shumai Hat".

ぱん吉軒のギョーザ職人、ギョーザ男は就寝中。

寝相にも色々ありますが、どうやら彼は、横向いて寝る派なのね。

あ。寝返りうった。でもまた横向いてる。

また寝返りうった。けど、またまた横向いてる。

かなり頑固に、横向いて寝るヒトやなあ。

Gyoza Otoko ("Dumpling Man"), the Dumpling Master of Pankichi-Ken, is sleeping.

Some people sleep on their back, while some others sleeps on their side.

It seems he is a side sleeper.

He turns over, and sleeps on his side again.

Another turning over, and sleep on his side again.

Surely, he is a quite stubborn side sleeper, isn't he? -- wait a minute?
